Tigers will require proof of vaccination or negative test for games

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers have announced they will be implementing the provincial government’s COVID-19 Restriction Exemption Program.

Beginning Monday, spectators 12 and over for Tigers games at Co-op Place will to either show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, a negative COVID test from a private company within 72 hours of the game or proof of a first dose of vaccination from at least two weeks prior to puck drop.

The last option will only be available until Oct. 25.

The policy will not be in effect for the Tigers exhibition game against Lethbridge on Sept. 18 at Co-op Place.

Masks will be required for all spectators are required, as per Alberta Health Services policy.

Electronic or paper immunization records will be accepted. Albertans’ immunization records are easily viewed online and available on cellphones through MyHealthRecords or by downloading the MyHealthRecords app.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes and Red Deer Rebels made similar announcements on Thursday.
