Farewell to the Medicine Hat Arena on Sept. 25

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Mark Sept. 25 in your calendar. That’s your last chance to say goodbye to the Medicine Hat Arena.

This weekend, New Rock Developments created a Facebook event for The Arena Send Off.

The page says the event, from 3 to 7 p.m., will be a walk down memory lane, with exclusive T-shirts and food trucks.

Possibly most interesting to fans of Medicine Hat history, there will be the chance to take a piece of the old barn home with you.

NewRock completed its purchase of the property this summer. The company plans to demolish the building to make way for a new condominium development.

You can get a first look at those plans at the farewell to the arena.

The Alto Living condo development on the site will be a key piece of the planned Waterfront District.
