Cypress County announces passing of Coun. Darcy Geigle

Cypress County has announced that Coun. Darcy Geigle has passed away.

In a statement, the county says Geigle was a kind and generous man who made a significant impact on the county and served his community with distinction.

He represented Ward 2 Irvine/Walsh, over the past 17 years. He served as reeve for seven of those years, selected by his peers.

“Councillor Geigle will be sorely missed by his fellow Councillors and County Staff,” reads the statement from the county. “Our sincere condolences to his wife, family and community.”
