Rough-cut mowing happening next to city roads
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The City of Medicine Hat has resumed rough-cut mowing operations at areas next to roadways throughout the city.
“We are continuing to monitor the weather and will be adjusting vegetation control if necessary,” Craig Maunder, operations engineer with the City of Medicine Hat, said in a release. “With the forecasted moisture and cooler temperatures, we are hopeful crews will be able to complete the work within the next four to five weeks.”
The city maintains about 150 kilometres of rough-cut mowing along our roads and 115 kilometres of trails each year.
The city says work to mow areas adjacent to the trail system will begin the week of Aug. 16.
