Community peace officer reunites missing dog with owner

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A community peace officer reunited a missing dog with his owner earlier this week.

CPO Barri-Ann Hayward received a report on Monday about a dog at Southlands Pond. A good samaritan had been feeding the dog, but couldn’t catch it.

“It had been there for a few days, no one could get near it and it wouldn’t let anyone get close,” Hayward said. “It would growl and bark.”

Hayward brought down a trap and within an hour, the dog was caught.
