Council candidate wants to reduce red tape at City Hall
MEDICINE HAT,AB- Another person has stepped into the council race. Jeremy Silver has announced his intentions to run for a seat in the upcoming municipal election.
Silver is most known for his work in the community through the United Way Spirit of Christmas Feast which he started eight years ago. It has since grown to one of the largest community-supported Christmas dinners in Medicine Hat. Aside from his work with the United Way, Silver is also the past chair of the City Centre Development Agency.
“I think that I hold the ideals that all elected leaders should be public servants, and public servants should work in their community, be involved in their community to know what there community wants, and I think our elected leaders on a grand scale have really lost touch with their voter base, and I am hoping to bring that humanity back to politics,” Silver said.
