Tigers, WHL release full 2021-22 schedule
MEDICINE HAT, AB – Start marking off the days on the calendar, Tigers fans. The full 2021-22 Western Hockey League schedule has been released.
The Medicine Hat Tigers will start the season with a home-and-home series against the Swift Current Broncos. They play in Swift Current on Oct. 1 and play their first game at the rebranded Co-op Place on Oct. 2.
One change fans will notice is the start times for weekend home games. All Friday and Saturday home games will have a 7 p.m. puck drop. Sunday games will start at 6 p.m., while weekday games will remain at 7 p.m.
Special dates to mark on the calendar include Dec. 4 for the Teddy Bear Toss game against the Brandon Wheat Kings and a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 21 against the Prince Albert Raiders. The Tigers host the Lethbridge Hurricanes on April 2 in the regular season finale, which will also be Fan Appreciation Night.
