MEDICINE HAT, AB – A new multiphase development in the southwest part of Medicine Hat will have its first possession this fall.

Fourteen homes are under construction at Coulee Ridge, a subdivision where people buy vacant lots, then build a home. Out of 46 lots currently available for sale in phase one, half of them are sold.

Now that the city’s trail system connects the new subdivision with the rest of Hat, Aliesha Bensler with Coulee Ridge says sales are steady and most of the people buying are local.

“We are at that halfway mark right now with lot sales and almost everybody is planning to build as they’re buying,” Bensler said. “It’s filling up really quick.”
