Faulty appliance suspected in Sunday afternoon house fire

MEDICINE HAT — City firefighters were called to a residence on Preston Avenue N.E. Sunday afternoon.

It’s believed a dishwasher malfunctioned, leading to a lot of smoke in the home.

Investigators are working to confirm the appliance as the source of the problem which resulted in quite a bit of smoke damage to the home
