MEDICINE HAT, AB – Medicine Hat firefighters put out a small grass fire in the Brier Park area around 9:30 this morning.
Crews were on the scene fast and it was quickly extinguished.
While the exact cause is unknown, the fire department says there were lots of cigarette butts on the ground. They want to remind everyone to put out cigarettes properly and dispose of them safely, as they are a huge fire hazard during the warm and dry summer months.
