Baking with Candice was started in March of 2020 by Candice Funk, who has been baking since she was very young. What started as enjoyable time spent with her late grandmother has transformed into a business that offers baking and cooking classes to all ages, as well as orders for special events. Candice also shares recipes on her website that you can try right at home!
The nominator describes Candice as “a very kind human. She has been though so much over the last year and has pivoted and changed her business to adapt. By creating at-home decorating kits, she gave our kids and opportunity to keep busy and have delicious treats.” Baking with Candice amplifies Medicine Hat by donating to local charities, but also by providing opportunities for people to get out and learn new skills.
