A Saskatchewan farm group has presented a drought plan for the federal and provincial governments to consider.
The Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan is proposing measures that include a drought-related recovery assessment with increased coverage.
It says the entire province should be eligible for the federal livestock tax deferral program.
The association also says the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation should speed up conversion of drought-damaged crops into livestock feed.
