MEDICINE HAT, AB – A portion of Division Avenue South will be closed this summer as the city renews aging infrastructure in the area.
Division Avenue between Second Street SE and Third Street SE will be closed starting Monday, July 12. Construction will occur in stages and is expected to last until mid-fall, the city says in a news release.
Aging water and sanitary mains will be replaced. At the same time, the city will also do work on gas infrastructure and make improvements to the Third Street intersection to avoid multiple disruptions in this area.
Detours will be in place and motorists are reminded to obey all traffic signs and be careful around work zones.
