Power outage in Southridge

UPDATE from City of Medicine Hat at 11:17 a.m.: Power is restored to all but 14 customers. Crews are working to replace a transformer on Sprague Way, though efforts are slowed with current weather conditions. Extra precautions are required when working with energized high voltage structures in the rain.

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A power outage is affecting close to 3,000 customers in the Southridge area.

The city says crews have been dispatched and will provide updates when they have more information.

According to a map from the city, most of Southridge north of Spruce Way and all of Saamis Heights are impacted, a total of 2,896 customers.
