Song to thank frontline workers means just as much one year later
MEDICINE HAT, AB – A few weeks into the pandemic last year frontline workers were celebrated with rounds of applause and people banging pots and pans on balconies.
Medicine Hat’s Eileen Wotschell wrote a song to show her appreciation.
“It was just so much happening right at the start and it still is so it’s still a very needed thing for people to hear … to feel appreciated and to know that what they’re doing is great and is helping everybody,” she says.
More than a year later the pandemic is not over, and Wotschell feels the same as she did back then.
