MEDICINE HAT — Two systems, spread over several days, brought much needed moisture to southeastern Alberta.

The big winners in the precipitation lottery were areas south of Medicine Hat, along the U.S. border.

The automated weather station at One Four has measured more than 80 millmetres of precipitation so far this month.

A similar amount was received at the automated station at Manyberries.

Medicine Hat, Irvine, Schuler and Rush Lake stations are close to 70 millimeters for the month to date.

Bull Springs, northeast of Medicine Hat, recorded more than 60 millimeters as of this morning.

Bow Island and Seven Persons automated stations show just over 59 millmeters this month, with Ralston totalling 40 plus millimeters for May.
