It’s a day celebrated every year to recognize Early Childhood Educators for the challenging work they do with young children and families.
Jennifer Usher with the Medicine Hat and District Childcare Association says these educators are the heart of high quality and early learning.
They help children learn, develop and explore through play.
She says it’s been an especially hard year for early childhood educators throughout the pandemic.
“All the additional expectations around sanitization and making sure are safe,” Usher said. “It’s been really challenging but we want to show our support of those educators and the hard work they do.”
The Medicine Hat and District Childcare Association also released a virtual magazine featuring the Southeast Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Story. The magazine can be found here.
