Shoplifting complaint turns into a bit more for police

MEDICINE HAT — A report of a shoplifting from Canadian Tire around 7:45 last night, turned into a bit more for city police.

After stopping a suspect vehicle near Staples on Strachan Road S.E., officers noticed a weapon.

It turned out to be a pellet gun.

Still, one person received a weapons charge and the other was charged with shoplifting.
