Mad Hatter & Happy Hatter – May 20

May 20, 2021 | 3:00 AM

Mad Hatter

I realize and get why people and business want to defy public health orders. It has been a long tiring pandemic! I want to get back to normal and have the ability to spend time with friends and extended family, travel, go to the gym, swim etc. I wonder though if those defying public health orders will expect the best possible treatment if they receive covid and need life supporting intervention? Will they be the ones to say no let me die? I doubt it,

Mad Hatter

When I listen to the UCP leader, he doesn’t have a plan going forward. The COVID legislation doesn’t have any teeth. Albertans will continue to lead North America in the number of COVID cases per capita for the foreseeable future. The local MLA will continue hosting anti-mask and anti-vaccine demonstrators in front of his local office.

Mad Hatter

As an Albertan it is embarrassing to drive past and hear about people who refuse to follow the AHS rules at community events. Because of you, for the second year in a row, I was unable to go see and give my 84 year old mother a hug on her birthday. Shame on you for your shameful, incredibly selfish behaviour! In Alberta we have always stuck together and done the right thing. Please, start to listen and follow the rules for everyone’s sake.

While I can appreciate all that a local nonprofit is doing, most of it already existed. Why are you recreating the wheel and destroying the work of the Shelter, and other nonprofits. Instead, work with them instead of destroying them! They were here first and have been doing a good job. Now we have even more social groups to support when the money was already thinly spread.

Happy Hatter

Thank you to the health care heroes at our pharmacies! Offering vaccines has added a whole new layer of stress and extra work and we want you to know how much it is appreciated. Thank you for keeping us safe and healthy!
