Snow in the forecast for Medicine Hat and area
MEDICINE HAT, AB – A special weather statement has been issued for Medicine Hat and the surrounding area.
According to Environment Canada, a drastic change in weather will bring snow to southeastern Alberta on Thursday.
“A developing low pressure system will bring rain to southeastern Alberta beginning Wednesday night. On Thursday morning, as cool air moves into the region, rain will change over to snow. Generally, 5 to 10 centimetres of wet snow is expected, however it is possible that 10 centimetres or more fall in certain localities,” the statement reads.
The special weather statement is in effect for Medicine Hat-Bow Island-Suffield, Cypress Hills Provincial Park-Foremost and Lethbridge-Milk River-Taber.
