Canadian diver Wiens takes bronze in 10-metre platform at World Cup in Tokyo
TOKYO — Canada’s Rylan Wiens finished with a bronze medal in the men’s 10-metre platform Tuesday at a FINA Diving World Cup event.
Wiens, from Saskatoon, was 10th after the semifinals, but he posted a cumulative score of 488.55 in the final to secure a spot on the podium.
“That was probably the best event of my life,” Wiens said. “I was able to put in six dives and come out with a bronze medal at the World Cup which is pretty amazing.
“I was super happy with everything I did and hard work paid off.”
