British Banger Company to set up shop in Medicine Hat

MEDICINE HAT AB – If you’re looking for a taste of the U.K. then look no further. The British Banger Company is coming to the Hat.

From pop-up tents to opening their second location in Alberta, the British Banger Company has come a long way since operating a butcher shop in Worsley, England.

The first British Banger Company store was opened in Okotoks in 2018 and according to one of the owners they have been coming to Medicine Hat for 18 months for people to get a sample of what they make.

Tracey Worsley, a part-owner of the company, says they have gained a lot of popularity over the years.

“We knew we needed to open another store but it was ‘where do we choose,'” she says. “We’ve got a huge following in Medicine Hat, and that’s the place, and it’s like what kind of store do we open, do we want to make anything there, do we not want to make anything, how big do we want it?”

Worsley says she has high hopes for their company’s future with rising demand and recently starting deliveries to Red Deer, Edmonton and Lethbridge.

She hints the Medicine Hat store will open around the end of May and they plan to settle in around the North Railway Street.
