Alberta Open Farm Days set for Aug 14-15

Farmers, ranchers and agri-tourism operators across the province will welcome their rural and urban neighbours to their homesteads for Alberta Open Farm Days on Aug. 14 and 15.

Registration is now open for those who want to show off their home and life on the range.

Each year dozens of ag-based operations in all corners of Alberta toss open their gates for open houses.

“It is a backstage pass to meet the farmer, experience ag-tourism in Alberta and taste local foods direct from the producer,” reads the site.

The idea is to give attendees a better idea of where their food comes from.
