Replacing routes 10 and 11

MHTnow to run on Sundays in city’s north

Apr 23, 2021 | 12:38 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The city’s on-demand transit service is expanding to Sunday service next month.

MHTnow will begin running on Sundays in the northeast and northwest areas of the city on May 9. It will run from 8:15 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., replacing current routes 10 and 11.

Available pick-up and drop-off locations have been predetermined and will allow riders to travel within the northeast and northwest neighbourhoods and to the downtown terminal.

“The community has really embraced the on-demand option and we’re excited to be able to expand it once again,” said Gordon Dykstra, acting transit manager with the City of Medicine Hat. “We have heard very positive feedback from our evening riders and are confident that our Sunday riders will feel the same.”

Riders are encouraged to download the MHTnow app, available in the App Store and on Google Play.

The on-demand service launched in September 2020 running in the evenings in the northeast and northwest. The service expanded in November to include regular service evening routes in the River Flats and South Hill neighbourhoods and in January extended to include the Hospital route.

More information on MHTnow is available on the city’s website.
