CHHS latest area school dealing with positive COVID result

Apr 21, 2021 | 5:20 AM

MEDICINE HAT — Alberta Health Services has placed Crescent Heights High School On Alert.

This follows a positive case of COVID-19 at the school.

In a release, the Medicine Hat Public School Division says the exposure was limited to a small group of students and staff, and they’re confident, based on AHS guidance, that staff and students who have not been directed to quarantine can attend school safely.

Siblings and family members of close contacts are not required to quarantine; however, they are asked to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19.

The school division has directed custodial staff to conduct enhanced cleaning protocols before students and staff come back into the building.

This additional cleaning will focus on areas where the individual was present along with high touch areas and surfaces throughout the school.
