20-year-old man charged with robbery

MEDICINE HAT, AB –Medicine Hat Police have charged a 20-year-old man in connection with a robbery at a local business earlier this month.
Police received a report of a robbery at a business located in the 300 block of 12th Street NE in the early morning hours of April 3, 2021. A man approached the counter, had a brief conversation with the clerk before producing a weapon and making demands. The male left the business with an undisclosed amount of product.
The major crimes section of the Medicine Hat Police Service led the investigation and credits members of the public who came forward with information that resulted in an arrest and charges being laid.
Jose Chacon Fierro is charged with robbery and possession of a weapon. Fierro was released from custody with conditions and his next court appearance is scheduled for May 11.
