City accepting applications for Community Vibrancy Advisory committee

MEDICINE HAT, AB– The City of Medicine Hat is calling on people wanting to make a positive impact on the community.

Applications are now being accepted for the Community Vibrancy Advisory Committee.

Earlier this month, council passed a bylaw to establish the board which will serve as an important source of input towards community vibrancy.

The committee will act as an advisory group for the Public Services Committee and city council, and have the opportunity to work on special projects.

The board will consist of nine members, and chair of the Public Services Committee Julie Friesen said it is an excellent opportunity to get involved.

“I think it will be an exciting opportunity to share their skills and their knowledge, and their backgrounds and community involvement, and their ideas, and aspirations for our community,” she said.

She said they are looking for a diverse group of people with a variety of skills and backgrounds.

Applications are being accepted until April 30.
