Two variant COVID-19 cases identified at École Connaught School

MEDICINE HAT, AB- Two people at Ecole Connaught School have tested positive for a COVID-19 variant, the Medicine Hat Public School Division confirmed.

According to a media release, the first case was identified March 31, and a second case was identified April 3.

“We have learned that both cases have been identified as a VARIANT of the virus. AHS has provided additional direction to those identified as close contacts and individuals that have tested positive,” the Medicine Hat Public School Division said in a media release.

Both individuals are connected to the same class, according to the Medicine Hat Public School Division and all close contacts have been directed to quarantine.
