Flaring at CF Industries causes concerns for some residents

MEDICINE HAT — It’s a common sight.

CF Industries flaring into the night sky in northeast Medicine Hat.

But sometimes conditions make it look worse.

Such was the case last night, when the cold air and the steam around the plant enhanced the glow from the flare.

City firefighters issued a social media post last night calming people concerned about a possible large fire in Crescent Heights.

But firefighters assured everyone that all is okay.
