Arrests made after electronics stolen from business

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Two Medicine Hat men have been arrested and are facing charges after a break-in and theft on Dec. 8.

Medicine Hat Police Service says officers responded in the early morning to an alarm at a business in the 1200 block of Kingsway Avenue. Police found the business had been forcefully entered and more than $5,000 worth of electronics were stolen.

Two men were arrested following further investigation.

A 34-year-old male is charged with breaking and entering a business and committing theft over $5,000. He is also charged with wearing a disguise in the commission of an offence.

A 37-year-old male is charged with possession of stolen property under $5000 and possession of a controlled substance.

Some of the stolen property was recovered and returned to the owner. Police are searching for the remainder of the stolen property.
