COVID-19 update: 1,836 new cases, 19 additional deaths

EDMONTON, AB- The province of Alberta confirmed 1,836 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday and 19 deaths additional deaths.

In total 615 people have died across the province from COVId-19.

There are 601 people in the hospital with 100 people in ICU.

There are 19,484 active cases currently in the province.

In the South Zone there are 642 active cases, and 48 deaths total.

As of the last update on Saturday, Medicine Hat had 94 active cases, 214 recoveries and five deaths.

In a tweet on Sunday, Dr Deena Hinshaw urged Albertans to stay home if sick and to follow all public health guidelines.
