And since they’re an outside venue, they are considered very low risk.

“My husband always tells us that we’re in the business for selling trees but mostly we’re in the business of selling some Christmas cheer. I guess in essence we’re trying to sell smiles for Christmas especially in this kind of environment,” Bodnaruk told Chat News.

Families will book their time slot online before coming to the farm.

Once you’re booked in, a designated family member will pay for the tree in the Christmas tree shack.

There will be a wagon ride to the tree field and after you pick out a tree a worker will help you cut it down. A saw will be provided.

Followed by hot chocolate, cookies, a family photo, and a chance to warm up by a burning barrel.

“Of course once you get out to the field it’s the best experience in the whole wide world,” Bodnaruk said. “The kids run around, and they have so much fun, there’s lots of squealing, lots of laughter. And this is the best and most positive business you could ever own at Christmas time.”

The experiences take place on Saturdays and Sundays: December 5 & 6 and December 12 & 13 from 11 am – 5 pm.

Bodnaruk notes there will be two families on either end of the wagon physically distanced from each other. Families are encouraged to wear some sort of face-covering for extra precaution while on the wagon.
