Province confirms 1,731 new cases Saturday, South Zone limiting visitation

EDMONTON, AB– There are 1,731 new cases of COVID-19 in the province bringing the total number of active cases in the province to 14,931.

There are 415 people in the hospital, 88 of which are in intensive care. The province also reported five new deaths today. In total 524 Albertans have died from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.

Earlier today AHS South Zone announced in a tweet that they would be limiting designated family/ support visitation at all healthcare facilities across the South Zone.

The most recent regional update on Nov. 27 shows 108 active cases in Medicine Hat, 146 recoveries, and three deaths.

In Brooks, there are 43 active cases 1222 recoveries, and 12 deaths. Newell County has 14 active cases, 84 recoveries and two deaths.

The Municipal District of Taber has 96 active cases, 131 recoveries,and four deaths.

The City of Lethbridge has 178 active cases of COVID-19, 771 recoveries, and seven deaths.

Lethbridge County has 70 active cases 243 recoveries and two deaths.

The County of Forty Mile No.8 has 22 active cases, 81 recoveries, and one death.
