City promoting opportunities at new airport business district

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Invest Medicine Hat is promoting commercial and industrial real estate opportunities at the city’s newest business district – YXH Gateway, located at the Medicine Hat Regional Airport.

“The airport is crucial to the economic development of this region,” says Chris Perret, director, land development and real estate, Invest Medicine Hat. “It’s a key economic driver that will help Medicine Hat and region recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

YXH Gateway, just off Highway 3, offers 41 acres of airside and groundside land for sale and lease. Groundside land is available for commercial and business industrial developments while, airside commercial land is available for lease for a variety of uses including larger commercial hangars, cargo, and logistics, says the city in a release.

Perret says airports are more than just a place to catch a plane.

“By facilitating local, national and international industries, YXH Gateway is fundamental to Medicine Hat’s continued growth and competitiveness,” he said.
