Approximately 30 vehicles involved in collision along Hwy 3 near Coalhurst

COALHURST, AB— Numerous emergency vehicles are responding to a multi-vehicle accident along hwy. 3 involving approximately 30 vehicles, according to the Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department.

The multi-vehicle crash occurred approximately 1 km west of Highway 25 in the westbound lanes.

Highway 3 westbound remains closed.

In a post on Facebook, the fire department says they are working to clear the road and have cleared a lane of traffic to help remove stranded motorists.

” Another EMS unit has arrived to treat the last patient involved. All other patients have been transported to CRH,” the post read.
