727 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed Sunday

EDMONTON, AB- There are 727 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed on Sunday Nov. 8.

The province is also reporting six deaths bringing the total number of deaths in the province to 363.

In a post on Twitter, the province’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw noted that while the case numbers are lower comparted to yesterday, they are still concerning and said the province is in ‘a critical juncture.’

Hinshaw also noted data numbers are preliminary, as the province is working to resolve technical issues with their reporting system.

Regional COVID-19 numbers have not been updated since November 5. An update is expected Nov. 9 (Monday).

Currently Medicine Hat has 15 active cases and 87 recoveries.
