919 new COVID-19 cases recorded province-wide

EDMONTON, AB- The province is reporting 919 new cases of COVID-19 province-wide and five new deaths.

In the South Zone, there are 398 active cases and 2,216 recoveries.

In Medicine Hat, there are 15 active cases of COVID-19 and 87 recoveries.

Cypress County has nine active cases and 37 recoveries.

The County of Forty Mile has 12 active cases and 43 recoveries.

The City of Lethbridge has 164 active cases, 418 recoveries and 5 deaths total from the virus.

The City of Brooks has 46 active cases . 1142 recoveries and 10 deaths associated with COVID-19.

Nearby Newell County has 14 active cases, 38 recoveries and two deaths.

The case numbers today come a day after the province announced they would be reinstating frequent COVID-19 updates. The province also implemented more stringent measures in Edmonton ,Calgary, and communities on the watch list., which includes A 15 person limit on social and family gatherings. Voluntary measures that include wearing a mask indoors and limiting a cohort to three individuals have also been put in place.
