MEDICINE HAT, AB – WestJet is doubling the number of flights between Medicine Hat and Calgary effective today.

Service has been increased to six flights a week from three, operating Sunday to Friday, arriving at 2:20 p.m. and departing at 2:50 p.m. each day, says the City of Medicine Hat.

Flights were reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also effective today, the hours of operation at the airport terminal building are changing. The building will be open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and 12:30-4:30 p.m. on Sundays. With no Saturday flight, the terminal will remain closed that day.

Avis/Budget Car rental is operating regular hours to meet the needs of the community and travellers. The Airport café remains closed.

The city release reminds people that governmment regulations require all guests two years of age or older to wear a face covering or mask during the check-in and boarding process and onboard an aircraft.
