Poppy cookies support local legion

REDCLIFF, AB – The Redcliff Bakery is honouring Remembrance Day with a special poppy cookie that will support the local legion.

They whipped up the cookie where $1 from every one sold will be donated to the Redcliff Legion.

Redcliff Bakery Owner Melissa Graber says the cookies have been very popular and they sold out yesterday.

She says there’s a fresh batch available in their stores today.

They can also be ordered from their website.

And so far they’ve sold a couple hundred.

Graber says the legion appreciates the support.

“It’s been a tradition so they kind of know that we do this every year for them and we just write them a cheque at the end for the proceeds,” she said.

The poppy cookies are available until Tuesday next week at both locations.

Redcliff Bakery will be closed on Wednesday, November 11.
