Four facing drug charge after vehicle stop in southwest Saskatchewan

MAPLE CREEK, SK – RCMP in Maple Creek seized $50,000 and items used in drug trafficking after acting on a tip about drugs being used in a vehicle.

According to an RCMP release, officers stopped the vehicle on Highway 1 near the Highway 21 junction and arrested the four occupants after seeing evidence of drug use in the vehicle.

Seven cellphones, large quantities of unused bags of various sizes, smaller quantities of what is believed to be methamphetamine, scales, notebooks and other trafficking paraphernalia were seized along with the money.

Swift Current RCMP Police Dogs Services attended the scene to assist with the search of the vehicle.

Arnold Enriquez, 43, of Saskatoon, Sheila Corpuz, 32, from Regina, Bench Pableo, 26, from Regina, and a 16-year old youth from Regina, are charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of property obtained by crime.

Enriquez is also charged with one count of breach of conditions.

The four appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court this morning and are scheduled to appear next in court today, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m.

All four suspects are currently in police custody.
