More speeding on Parkview Drive

Flight from police doesn’t last long for Hatter

A Medicine Hat man faces charges of possession of stolen property, dangerous driving and others after he was seen speeding early Friday morning.

According to Medicine Hat Police Service, the driver of a red SUV fled from police along Parkview Drive at about 2:30 a.m. The vehicle was located not long after and police saw a male running from it. The male, 29 years old, was apprehended and taken into custody.

It was later determined the vehicle and the license plate on it were stolen

The name of the suspect can;t be released as he is awaiting a bail hearing. He remains in custody facing the following charges:

• Dangerous driving
• Flight from police
• Possession of stolen property
• Trespass at night
• Resist arrest
• Breach of probation
