Premier Jason Kenney is among those self-isolating after a government minister tested positive for COVID-19.

Municipal Affairs Minister Tracy Allard learned of her positive test Wednesday afternoon. She has been in self-isolation since the weekend when she learned a close contact had tested positive.

The premier entered isolation upon learning of Allard’s positive test. Kenney is not experiencing any symptoms, while Allard is experiencing mild symptoms.

Transportation Minister Ric McIver and MLAs Nathan Neudorff, Angela Pitt and Peter Guthrie are also in self-isolation due to recent contact with Allard.

On Monday, Allard announced via video that the province was pausing any changes to oil and gas tax assessments after municipalities had raised concerns about how their tax revenue would be affected by the potential changes.
