Alberta launches regulated online gambling site

Alberta has launched a new regulated, online gambling website that the government says will contribute to programs and services Albertans rely on.
PlayAlberta.ca is available to Albertans over the age of 18 and physically located within the province’s borders. The site currently features virtual slots and table games, with more features promised in the coming months.
The site integrates AGLC’s GameSense responsible gambling program, which promotes healthy gambling behaviour.
“PlayAlberta.ca is another way AGLC is delivering a responsible gambling choice for the benefits of Albertans,” says Alain Maisonneuve, President & CEO, AGLC. The province’s regulated online gambling website will offer players expanded entertainment options with integrated responsible gambling features and generate revenue to support valuable programs and services Albertans rely on every day.”
