21-year-old Lethbridge man charged with attempted child abduction

LETHBRIDGE, AB– Lethbridge Police have charged Henrich Van Daniel Blanco of Lethbridge with one count of attempted abduction of a person under the age of 14 years old.

Around 12 pm on August 31, 2020, LPS responded to the 100 block of Mic Mac and Red Crow Boulevard west, in relation to an attempted abduction of a 13-year-old boy.

Blanco reportedly pulled up to the boy and offered to give him a ride to the store and buy him candy.

The boy declined the offer to get in the vehicle and the man left the area not long after.
