MEDICINE HAT — A 27 year old woman is recovering after being struck with a wrench late yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Seventh Street SW to a report of an assault sometime after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

They found the victim and arrested a 40-year-old male.

She was taken to hospital and is recovering from minor injury.

The male was arrested on a charge of assault with a weapon, as well as numerous other charges relating to failing to comply with conditions of a release order.

Police say the dispute was not domestic in nature.
