Home invasion in Riverside on Monday evening

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Police are investigating a home invasion that took place in Riverside around 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

Members of the Medicine Hat Police Service were called to the zero hundred block of Third Street NE after a report of people breaking into a residence and assaulting the people inside.

Two people inside the house received minor injuries and those responsible fled the scene before police arrived.

Police say this appears to be an isolated and targeted incident and there is no risk to the general public.
