The Prime Minister’s Youth Council is looking for new members.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Bardish Chagger, minister of diversity and inclusion and youth, launched a recruitment campaign to find Canadians aged 16-24 who are eager to share their voices.

The council is an important platform for youth to provide non-partisan advice to the prime minister and the Government of Canada on issues of importance to them and to all Canadians.

Trudeau calls young Canadians the leaders of today and one of the country’s most important resources.

“I’m looking for new voices and fresh perspectives to join me in building the Canada we all want, and improving it for future generations,” he said in a release.

Applications are open on the Prime Minister’s Youth Council website until Aug. 17.
