Man with knife threatens to hurt himself; police successful with intervention

MEDICINE HAT — City police were called to the 300 block of 4th street S.E. last night where a man with a knife was threatening to hurt himself.
The man was in emotional distress but police were able to contain him and provide crisis intervention which led to a peaceful resolution.
No one was hurt and the man was transported for medical attention and assessment.
