Police Point Park starting Wellness in Nature Series

Jul 17, 2020 | 10:16 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A new program from the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program will help heal minds and spirits as the city gradually emerges from the pandemic.

The first session of the Wellness in Nature Series — called Meditation in Motion — will take place on July 21 at 10 a.m. Organizers say participants should be prepared to walk, stand, kneel, get their hands dirty and let their imagination run freely. Anyone in need of quiet, peaceful reflection is encouraged to register. It is recommended participants be at least 16 years old.

Due to current public health measures registration will be limited to 10 people. Those interested are asked to register by calling 403-529-6225. Further details and the location will be shared after registration.

The second session — Nature Collage — is on July 30 from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants can bring their own photos and organizers will provide poster paper, scissors, glue and magazines for you to create a nature-themed visualization board.

Due to the current public health measures, space will be limited to six family cohorts or individuals. Register by calling 403-529-6225. More details will be shared after registration.

The Wellness in Nature series will continue through the rest of the year.

More information on these and other programs is available through the Nature Line (403-529-6225), natureline.info or the Police Point Park Page on Facebook.
