105 new cases in Alberta

Medicine Hat down to three active COVID-19 cases

Active cases of COVID-19 keep dropping in Medicine Hat, which again has no new cases today as numbers continue to be high across the province.

Medicine Hat is down to just three active cases of COVID-19 while the province confirmed 105 new cases in the past 24 hours.

It’s the second straight day the province recorded 100 cases after not reaching that mark since early May.

The province now has confirmed 9,219 total cases throughout the pandemic. There are currently 859 active cases and 8,193 Albertans have recovered.

There are currently 68 Albertans in hospital, 13 of which are in ICU. The death toll is up two to 167.

The province completed 8,322 tests in the past 24 hours.

Medicine Hat’s total number of cases remains at 51 — 47 considered recovered, three active and there has been one death.

The South Zone has a total of 1,479 cases —1,367 recovered and 99 active.

There are four people in the zone in hospital, two of which is in ICU, and there have been 13 deaths.

Cypress County has zero active cases, with all 30 total cases recovered there.

The County of Forty Mile has three active cases and five recovered.

The MD of Taber has 18 total cases, seven active and 11 recovered.

Special Areas No. 2 has three active cases.

There have been 1,121 total cases in Brooks —1,109 are recovered and three active. Brooks has recorded nine deaths. The County of Newell is showing two active cases and 20 recovered.

The County of Warner remains at 45 total cases. There are now three active cases and 41 recovered. There has been one death in the county.

The City of Lethbridge has a total of 76 cases. Of those, 30 are listed as active and 46 recovered. Lethbridge County has 17 cases, 10 active cases and seven recovered.
